Yes the US has made some recent eSports investment - 76'ers and Axiomatic - yet still not nearly close to what Europe has. Why?

So Versus Sports is excited to announce the signing of Liverpool based eSports Athlete Dean Coombes.  Dean was the the winner of the UK Final in 2015 and qualified for the FIWC Grand Final two years consecutively.

Let's also chat about EA FIFA and eSports for a minute.

I wrote in August about how EA is killing Konami in eSports.

But I think that may change soon.

From the many EA eSports FIFA Athletes I've spoken with, it takes almost 20 hours of play time in 48 hours to qualify for EA's FIFA eSports Major.

Let me repeat that - 20 hours of gameplay in 48 hours. Some have cancelled family plans to do this.

As I said on SiriusXm eSports last week - there's a reason for that.

On my top philosophers list is a rap group called Wu-Tang Clan and in 1993 they released a song called C.R.E.A.M - Cash Rules Everything Around Me.

EA made $650M from their Ultimate Team revenue last year. - which is essentially what's driving their FIFA eSports revenue.

Yes, multi-billion companies need to make money.

Konami, here's your chance.
