We are just days away from waving goodbye to 2019. This was one of the best years for every Dota 2 fan out there. After all, we saw tons of interesting tournaments, roster changes, and drama.
With that said, let’s take a look at the top two teams of 2019. As you can imagine, naming just two teams as the best is definitely easier said than done.
Back to back!

We’re your The Internationals 2019 champions and double Aegis winners!
No one has ever done that in the history of Dota! #DreamOG #TI9 pic.twitter.com/18Ar8PZkTN
No surprises here, our first choice is the two times TI winners – OG. Johan “N0tail” Sundstein and his team-mates have re-written Dota 2’s history. After winning TI 8, the managed to do the same this this year, becoming the first ever back-to-back TI champions.
However, the most impressive part was the way they did all this. They’ve completely ripped through the competition like a knife through butter. As a result, the European team secured themselves another TI trophy, as well as around $15,000,000.
Unfortunately, we haven’t seen OG in action after TI 9 came to an end. Having said that, they should be back for the third roll of DPC events, somewhere in 2020.
Even though many people won’t agree, we belive that Vici Gaming is one of the best teams in the world right now. They are without a doubt the strongest Chinese teams for 2019. Despite the shaky TI performance, the team is absolutely crushing it in every single tournament.
The ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational was a pure example that Vici is among the best teams in the world right now. If they continue to play like this, they will be among the biggest favorites for TI 10.
