Finnish esports organization, ENCE has benched Jere “sergej” Salo due to lack of motivation for Counter-Strike. The player will fulfill his military duties and will be replaced by SJ’s Tuomas “SADDYX” Louhimaa for DreamHack Masters Winter Europe.

Jere has asked to be removed from the playing roster due to lack of motivation to fully contribute as a player and has decided to fulfill his military service duties starting January, 2021.

Sergej was one of the promising stars of 2019 ranked 13th in the HLTV rankings. The young player was instrumental in ENCE’s IEM Katowice 2019 run when the team lost to Astralis in the grand finals.
Jere has come to a conclusion that he currently doesn’t have the necessary motivation to pursue forward in the intense world of professional Counter-Strike and has asked to be removed from the playing roster. He has decided to fulfill his Finnish military service duties starting January, 2021 and therefore will not be a part of the active ENCE roster for the time being.
SADDYX will debut in DreamHack Masters Winter tournament that kicks off on November 30. The roster has two newcomers now and will have to start from scratch.
ENCE is ranked 27th in the HLTV rankings but has been on a downward spiral in recent weeks. The Finnish organization will attempt to improve its rankings in the upcoming weeks, although with several new players on its squad the roster might take some time to improve its rankings.
Sergej has not revealed his plans for the future and whether he intends to return to Counter-Strike after his mandatory military service. The player has been a cornerstone of the Finnish CS:GO scene.
