TNL Take: Carl’s Jr. has always been a Brand that take risks much more than others.

Mostly young, male customers? Willing to have fun and make fun of themselves? But why few if any Gaming or eSports Activations?

Previously was their sponsorship of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 with 100% of proceeds going to the Call of Duty endowment - BTW that's awesome.

Look's like they're back at it and again taking a novel approach.

Carl's Jr. partnered with Waypoint, Vice's new Gaming vertical, with their 72-hour livestream launch.

Now here's where it gets cool.

As the presenting sponsor of the launch, Carl's Jr. introduced the first "live ads". So instead of your usual :30 second break in between content, every hour or so the ads were integrated directly into the content with a sketch of the mascot doing random things live.

Chief Keef hung around and my current favorite game Titanfall 2 was featured - which will make a much better eSport than the first one.

Even better, Carl's Jr. can now take this content and split into bite sized content across a multitude of platforms.

Speaking of Vice, how many times have I mentioned Vice and and their future involvement in eSports and Gaming?
