They should be within eSports as a large amount of their rights to broadcast traditional sports events is a natural connection.

Even after watching the entirety of the Bills Club Series Championship broadcast (5 hours), I still have no idea what they do.

The only thing I and the other viewers had to go off of was 1 instance where this line was said:

“Brought to you by First Student. First Student: Caring for students today, tomorrow, together."

Turns out they run charter buses.

While it’s great to see involvement from partners of traditional sports franchises, maybe some info on what the Brand actually does would help drive awareness.

TNL Take: This isn’t Snickers’ first time around in eSports (or Madden). Their involvement in Turner’s ELEAGUE featured hilarious replays and their sponsorship of the Patriots Club Series Championship brought those back - except without the focus on being funny.

As well as featured in the player camera backdrop.

Nothing different than other EA Madden NFL Pro Team Club Series Brand integrations but there's one key factor here: Brand Renewals.

Having a Brand like Snickers support In-Game Advertising going back several years to their 3rd eSports Sponsorship shows continued belief in Gaming as a viable advertising platform.

 

We need more Brands like Snickers 🙏🏽

TNL Take: Let’s try this exercise again. NOCO. Who are they, what do they do, don’t use Google?

Nothing? No idea? Perfect, they have a great opportunity then.

For reference, NOCO is a long-time partner of the Buffalo Bills - they’re an energy company that also runs a series of convenience stores in the Northeast USA/Canada area.

 There really wasn’t much done with the brand during the Buffalo Bills Madden Club Series Championship except the banner advertisement (Above) and logo on a bracket (Below).

Not even a verbal mention of the brand by either of the commentators. Former Bills player turned CBS analyst Steve Tasker was on location - why not have him run down to a NOCO store or something?

As always, great to see another new Brand enter eSports and hopefully a test for a deeper sponsorship next time.
