Godsent To Replace KRYSTAL; Beckham’s Guild Esports to Enter CSGO

November 6, 2020 | 0 | 1067| |

Godsent is looking to replace its in-game leader Kevin “kRYSTAL” Amend with former c0ntact member Luka “emi” Vuković, according to an HLTV.org report.

Nearly a year after joining Godsent as part of the former SMASH roster, Godsent’s in-game leader, KRYSTAL might soon be searching for a new organization according to the latest reports. The 27-year-old German player has not had the best results lately. Averaging 0.82 over the past three months and with just 0.42 kills per round, KRYSTAL has had a string of poor performances.

Despite his poor performances, the player has been instrumental in helping Godsent to rise to the top fifteen rank. To elevate itself to the next level, however, Godsent required a roster change and it seems KRYSTAL might be on his way out.

Former C0ntact rifler, emi might be on course to replace KRYSTAL on the Godsent roster. Emi has been without a team for the past few months and has been actively looking to join a new roster as the in-game leader.

There has been a lot of speculation about the future of Godsent’s roster. Last month, DBLTAP reported Godsent might transfer its CS:GO lineup to FunPlus Phoenix. FunPlus Phoenix has been on the lookout for a new CS:GO roster after failing to find a stable CS:GO roster.

CS:GO fans can watch Godsent in action at the BLAST Premier Showdown that starts on November 24. The team will also play in DreamHack Masters Winter that kicks off on November 30.

Guild Esports Signs Thorin as Consultant for CS:GO Entry

David Beckham’s widely publicized Guild Esports is ready to enter CS:GO. The esports organization, listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) is valued at 40 million pounds ($52 million). The organization’s high valuation is despite any esports history and achievements in the industry, a worrying sign for an empty esports shell.

“I will help Guild develop their model for building the team and advise on players and staff I think appropriate to aid them in establishing themselves as a significant force in this part of the industry,” Thorin said to explain what his role as a consultant will entail.

Guild esports has teams in Rocket League and FIFA, the organization picked up these rosters after its investment rounds.

It will be interesting to see how Guild Esports can find its foothold in the industry. The company’s high valuation was heavily criticized for the lack of any esports history, investments or teams. Football superstar David Beckham has an investment in Guild Esports. Guild Esports will pay Beckham $20 million over the next five years to license his name and image rights according to a report by Esportsobserver. Guild Esports has heavily promoted Beckham’s investment in the lead up to its London Stock Exchange IPO.
