Team Liquid has announced the signing of Jason “moses” O’Toole as the new head coach for its CS:GO team. Moses replaces Eric “adreN” Hoag and will hope to help Team Liquid reach new heights.

This announcement comes just days after Team Liquid announced a roster change. Team Liquid added Michael “Grim” Wince who replaces  Nick “nitr0” Cannella. Moses rose to fame as a Counter-Strike Global Offensive caster. He has paired up with Anders Blume and Auguste “Semmler” Massonnat to create some iconic moments in CS:GO.

Moses has been a staunch supporter of North American counter-strike. One of the proudest moments for the caster was when Team Liquid broke the record for fastest Intel Grand Slam victory. Team Liquid won the Intel Grand Slam in just four events in 2019 securing $1 million in prize money.

Following their success; however, Team Liquid went into a slump. The team was unable to put up an impressive showing at the StarLadder Berlin Major and could never reclaim its number 1 rank since. Team Liquid is currently ranked 10th and Moses hopes to improve the rankings and secure a Major victory for Team Liquid.

The next CS:GO Major is the ESL One Rio Major. Initially scheduled for an early 2020 event, Valve had to postpone the Major due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The ESL One Rio Major will have a $2 million prize pool and is also the only CS:GO Major for 2020.

Despite being one of the best North American CS:GO teams, Team Liquid is yet to win a CS:GO Major. With their recent changes to the roster and a new head coach, Team Liquid hopes to improve its performance in the professional circuit.

Team Liquid’s current roster is as follows:

  • Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski

  • Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken

  • Keith “NAF” Markovic

  • Jake “Stewie2K” Yip

  • Michael “Grim” Wince

  • Jason “moses” O’Toole (Head coach)
