Na’Vi Reportedly Sign FlyToMoon Dota 2 Roster

December 24, 2020 | 0 | 272| |

CIS esports powerhouse Na’Vi has reportedly signed the FlyToMoon Dota 2 roster. After a trial period that saw the FTM players surpass expectations, the organization has now signed them to full-time contracts according to a report by Cybersport.ru. The Dota Pro Circuit season will start in January 2021.

The new Na’Vi Dota 2 roster is as follows:

  • Alik “V-Tune” Vorobey.
  • Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasilenko.
  • Victor “GeneRaL” Nigrini.
  • Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosyan.
  • Andrey “ALWAYSWANNAFLY” Bondarenko.

The FlyToMoon roster had joined Na’Vi on a trial basis in September 2020. Since then the team’s performance has been nothing less than impressive. The first tournament for the former FlyToMoon roster was the OGA DotaPIT Season 3: EU/CIS. The team lost to VP.Prodigy and finished in fourth place.

The team continued its strong form into ESL One Germany where they lost to Team Liquid in the grand finals. A fifth-sixth place finish at the stacked EPIC League Season 2 was a massive surprise to analysts and fans. Some players placed Na’Vi as one of the favorites to win the tournament but Na’Vi lost to OG in the lower bracket Round 2. But the roster found its revenge on OG with a grand final win in the OGA DotaPIT Season 4: EU/CIS.

The past couple of months have been massively successful for the players and the organization recognized the team’s potential.

When Does the Dota Pro Circuit Start?

After a suspension that lasted nearly a full year, Valve is all set to resume Dota 2 esports with the DPC in 2021. The DPC will start on January 28, 2020; but Valve is yet to release specific details on the circuit’s format.

The coronavirus pandemic has impacted the esports scene, but none so much as Valve’s two big titles. Both CS:GO and Dota 2 esports has been languishing as Valve keeps postponing the games’ biggest events.

The Dota Pro Circuit will be a regional online league format that should play well into the new restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Natus Vincere is yet to officially confirm the new roster. But with the new DPC season fast approaching, Dota 2 fans can expect an official announcement soon.
