FURIA are the champions of the Thunderpick World Championship 2026, taking a 3:2 best-of-five grand final over BetBoom on October 18 at the BLAST Arena Studios in Attard, Malta. The eight-team S-Tier event, run by GAM3RS_X with a $1,000,000 prize pool, ran from October 14 to 18, 2026.
FURIA opened the final 13:6 on Dust II, and BetBoom answered with two straight: Ancient went to double overtime and finished 19:16 to BetBoom, followed by a 13:9 win on Nuke. FURIA closed the series with a 13:11 on Mirage and a 13:6 on Cache.
In the semifinals on October 17, FURIA swept Aurora 2:0 (13:8 on Dust II, 13:10 on Inferno), while BetBoom took 2:1 over Falcons after dropping the opening map 5:13 on Anubis. The week's other notable movement: Virtus.pro withdrew on October 9 due to health and visa issues and was replaced by Ninjas in Pyjamas.
The Thunderpick World Championship was the biggest CS2 prize pool on the autumn calendar between the PGL events — and its result lands the week before PGL Masters Bucharest opens on October 24.
