North have removed Philip “⁠aizy⁠” Aistrup and Mathias “⁠MSL⁠” Lauridsen from the starting lineup. The two players are now on the team’s transfer list as the Danish organization looks to make changes to its CS:GO roster.

“I’d like to thank Mathias and Philip, they are two of North’s longest servants across their time here and have helped shape and re-shape North through many years. These decisions do not come lightly but sometimes change is necessary. Both players have aspirations to be at the very top and neither signed on for the type of project that we are moving forward with. They are both deserving of a project that will see their talents be put to the best use, and North will not stand in the way of finding them new homes,” says Graham Pitt, Head of Esports Operations.

North will look to recruit new and young players to its roster. The team is ranked 25th although the team has been struggling recently. The past few weeks have been especially hard for the Danish roster and there is a visible drop in the team’s performance.

“It takes time to build a strategy like this – to rework the entire philosophy of the team and organization. Since I joined North a year ago, I have been looking at how we can re-build into a sustainable project, where much time has gone into developing our scouting capabilities and player development initiatives,” says Graham Pitt.

Who will Join Norths’ CS:GO Roster?

Replacing the two players will be Kristoffer “⁠Kristou⁠” Aamand and Rasmus “⁠kreaz⁠” Johansson. Kristou has been recalled from his loan with AGF while Kreaz joins the team on trial.

Nicklas “⁠gade⁠” Gade will take on the mantle of the team’s in-game leader and will be responsible for much of the team’s playstyle. Together with Jimmy “⁠Jumpy⁠” Berndtsson, the Danish team hopes to improve its rankings and get closer to the top ten ranks.

North is also developing a sporting scout tool in collaboration with IT giant, Capgemini.

“The sporting department has done a massive amount of work looking at how a more dynamic roster strategy would look, focussing on younger talents with a potential to grow. The team have been working with Capgemini on how we can interlace their capabilities with our long-term needs. This, of course ties well in with what we want to achieve as an organisation over the next three years, says interim CEO, Alexander Mørch Pedersen.
