The context of the match

Gen.G arrived in this competition as the third seed of LCK and many critics don’t label them as the favorites. However, they are no pushovers since they were in the same group as the top seed of the LCK. Gen.G and MAD Lions were labeled as the favorites to come out of Group D.

Both teams did claim the first and second spots but all the positions were settled after the tied breakers! Yes, Group D had a fierce competition since after the regular matches all teams had a 3-3 record. Yet Gen.G emerged as the winners after taking down Team Liquid and will now be against Cloud9.

Cloud 9 arrived on the World’s stage as the last seed of the LCS. The team had to take a longer route to the group stage as they competed in the Play-Ins. They managed a strong Play-In performance. After that, the team was placed in Group A with the likes of DAMWON and FunPlus Phoenix. However, they defied all odds and managed to clinch the second spot and now compete in the group stage.

Cloud 9 is a decent team, but they lack consistency and will need to fight tooth and nail if they wanr to win against Gen.G team. We think Gen.G will win this match
