The context of the match

Gen.G is amongst the three LCK teams representing the South Korean region. The team arrived as the third seed and was not predicted to reach this stage of the competition. However, they proved the haters wrong as they claimed the top spot in their group after facing fierce competition against EDward Gaming.

The bet explained

At the end of the normal matches, all the teams held a 3-3 record and their fate was decided in the tiebreakers. Then in the Quarterfinals Gen.G showed its worth as they demolished Cloud9 3-0. It was a fantastic display from the team as they showed superb chemistry and simply outplayed their rivals. Cloud9 did push the first game to the 44min mark yet they were nowhere near their rivals in the remaining two matches.

EDward arrives in the semifinals as the only Chinese team. The team did take down its fellow regional rivals RNG, in a thriller quarter final. The series could have gone either way as they finished 3-2 in favor of EDG. However the teams showed why they are amongst the best and will now compete against Gen.G in the hopes of reaching the finals. This has been a superb season for the team as they beat the former World Champs, FunPlus Phoenix in the playoffs of the Summer Split and should face a tough test against Gen.G.

We believe that the series can go either way and EDward might as well be the favourites to reach the finale as they have beaten the MSI 2021 champions.
