Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan is one of the best mid laners to ever play Dota 2. In fact, he was arguably the strongest player during his five-year stay at Evil Geniuses. Despite the fact that the NA powerhouse had a very good DPC season and managed to place pretty high at TI 9, the organization decided that it’s time to change their playstyle. Unfortunately, this included SumaiL’s removal from the team.

Fortunately, Avery “SVG” Silverman, Arif “MSS” Anwar and Quinn “CCnC” Callahan have decided to form a new team. In fact, those three players registered for the upcoming DPC a day before the big announcement.
Today, it was confirmed that the two players who will join them are Sumail and his brother – Yawar “YawaR” Hassan. You may know him from his stay at Forward Gaming, where he was pretty much the best all-around player. Despite the fact that the team did not have the best DPC season, they still managed to win the NA qualifiers and get to TI 9. What’s even more interesting is that Newbee decided to acquire them in order to play under their banner. Sadly, this only lasted during TI 9 itself.
Unfortunately, it seems like they were just lacking the needed coordination and got eliminated pretty early on. Needless to say, this led to a massive roster change and ultimately – the disbanding of the team.
We still don’t know which region is this team going to play at. However, if we judge by the players’ locations, it definitely seems like North America will be the better choice. However, nothing is certain in professional Dota 2.
Speaking of Dota 2, be sure to watch the final days of WePlay!’s Reshuffle Madness and Midas Mode 2.0. Both tournaments are amazing in their own way and we definitely encourage you to check them out.
